Studiengesellschaft für den kombinierten Verkehr e. V. (SGKV) is an independent, non-profit organisation based in Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany. SGKV is a membership association working on the basis of a registered society. SGKV has some 100 membership companies from all fields of the transport industry with a main focus on combined transport.

The aim of the organisation is the promotion of intermodal co-operation in transport, especially through combined transport road/rail/inland and waterway/sea, palletisation, containerisation, automatic data interchange. This work is achieved through research in technical, organisational, commercial and marketing, standardisation, consultancy, organisation of seminars and the initiation of co-operation networks. SGKV is one of the most renowned research organisations in combined and container transport in Germany and Europe. It has strong connections to relevant actors of container security worldwide.
